These Creator & Livestreaming Terms (“Creator Terms”) apply when you use Aura's creator features — going live, receiving gifts, earning gems, running paid video calls, or requesting a cashout. They are in addition to our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines, which apply to everyone on the Platform. Where these Creator Terms and the general Terms conflict, these Creator Terms control for creator activities.
By tapping Go Live for the first time, accepting a creator feature, or requesting a payout, you accept these Creator Terms.
To use creator features you must (a) be at least 18 years old and of legal majority in your country, (b) not be located in or a national of a comprehensively sanctioned country, (c) not appear on any government denial list, and (d) have the right to appear on camera, stream audio of your choice, and publish the content you produce.
We may require additional identity verification, age verification, liveness check, or documentation at any time before permitting you to go live, receive gifts, or cash out. Failing or refusing verification may result in suspension, reversal of earnings, or account closure.
You are an independent user of the Platform. These Creator Terms do not create an employer–employee, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship. You are responsible for your own taxes, withholdings, and compliance with the laws of your country. Aura does not withhold income tax or social-insurance contributions on your behalf, except where legally required (for example, U.S. backup withholding for unverified tax forms).
All livestreams must follow the Community Guidelines. In addition, as a creator you agree that:
By using creator features you consent to the safety review described in the Moderation Policy. That review may include the following:
You may not bypass, disable, or interfere with these safety systems. You also remain responsible for getting the informed consent of every person who appears in your stream to the same sampling described above; if any participant withdraws consent, you must end the stream or remove that participant before continuing.
If you do not consent to this sampling, do not use the creator features. The Platform's safety systems are a condition of going live, not an opt-in product surface.
When a viewer sends you a gift, Aura credits your account with gems according to an internal fixed conversion from tokens to gems. Gems are recorded in your creator balance and may be redeemed for real money through a cashout under Section 6.
Creators may request a cashout of their gems for real money, subject to the conversion rate, thresholds, and fees published in the Earnings Help page from time to time. Current defaults (subject to change with notice):
You may not split cashouts across multiple accounts, disguise the beneficial owner of a payout, or route earnings to a third party to evade tax or sanctions obligations. Doing so is grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid gems.
You are responsible for determining and paying any taxes owed on your earnings. U.S. creators may be asked to complete a Form W-9; non-U.S. creators may be asked to complete a Form W-8BEN (or equivalent). Failing to provide a valid tax form when requested can trigger backup withholding on your payouts. Aura will issue tax forms (1099 in the U.S. or local equivalents) when thresholds are met.
Before a first cashout and from time to time thereafter, we will collect and verify government-issued ID, a selfie or liveness video, and the name and address tied to your payout account. We use this information only to verify identity, prevent fraud, satisfy tax and AML obligations, and deliver payouts. See the Privacy Policy for how this information is stored and retained.
Paid 1:1 video calls and pay-per-unlock premium media in direct messages are currently soft-cut on the Platform — the entry points are hidden and the underlying database gates reject new sessions. Existing premium media that was already unlocked by a recipient remains viewable, and the schema is preserved so historical conversations render correctly.
If we reinstate either feature, the additional terms in this section will be republished alongside the launch. In the meantime, the no-sexual-services, no-external-payment, and Community-Guidelines rules continue to apply to every other surface (livestreams, parties, posts, regular messages, stories, profile media).
When you host or participate in a party stream, you remain responsible for the behavior on your own feed and for your conduct toward other creators in the party. Gifts sent during battles or Aura Nova are attributed to the receiving creator under our normal token-to-gem conversion; battle and Nova outcome mechanics are determined by the rules in effect at the time of the session and do not constitute gambling.
You are not exclusive to Aura by default and may stream on other platforms. If you accept a specific promotional, campaign, or ambassador program that includes an exclusivity clause, the terms of that program will apply in addition to these Creator Terms.
The following activities are grounds for immediate, permanent termination, forfeiture of gem balances, and reversal of any pending payout:
We may suspend your creator features, hold pending earnings, or terminate your account at any time for a violation of these Creator Terms, the Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law. If your account is terminated:
If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, email appeals@auralive.tv.
You reaffirm the content license described in Section 5 of the Terms of Service. In particular, you grant Aura the right to record, archive, clip, and promote your livestreams and other creator content for operation and marketing of the Platform. You also grant us the right to use your name, handle, avatar, and public likeness to identify you as a creator on Aura on the Platform and in marketing materials that describe the Platform.
Aura does not guarantee any amount of earnings. Past performance is not indicative of future results. The gifting economy is driven by viewer demand, Platform tuning, and your own activity; gem rates, cashout thresholds, and fee schedules may change.
We may update these Creator Terms. If changes are material we will notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of creator features after the effective date means you accept the updated Creator Terms.
